Introducing the Tillsonburg Post and Simcoe Advocate

Continuing our efforts towards “restoring local journalism, one community at a time”, Grant Haven Media is excited to announce the launch of two new print newspapers, the Tillsonburg Post and the Simcoe Advocate.

“Residents of Tillsonburg, Simcoe, and surrounding areas like Waterford, Delhi, and Norwich deserve much better local news coverage than they have been receiving,” says Stewart Grant, President of Grant Haven Media. “We’re looking forward to working with local contributors to bring back much-desired news and events coverage to these communities.”

Consistent with Grant Haven’s existing community newspapers, these two new community publications will be available to readers for no charge. Print copies will be distributed through various pick-up locations (grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, seniors’ residences, and other community spaces) throughout the region or available for a nominal fee through a home delivery subscription.

The Tillsonburg Post’s first print issue will be published on Thursday, September 19, 2024, with subsequent issues coming on a bi-weekly basis. The newspaper will also be available in online format at www.tillsonburgpost.com, and interested readers can sign up here to be emailed future editions of the newspaper.

The first print issue of the Simcoe Advocate will be published on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The Advocate will also be a bi-weekly community newspaper. An online edition will also be available at www.simcoeadvocate.com and interested readers can sign up here to be emailed future editions of the newspaper.

The Tillsonburg Post and Simcoe Advocate are the 9th and 10th community newspapers within the Grant Haven Media family, joining the St. Marys Independent, Wilmot-Tavistock Gazette, Stratford Times, Woodstock Ingersoll Echo, Goderich Sun, Norfolk Farms, Brant Farms, and Niagara Farms.
